Community Transport

COMMUNITY CAR SERVICES
Community Car Services are provided by volunteers using their own cars with financial support towards running costs coming from both fares and from Lancashire County Council. Fares are based on bus services for the area, and concessionary fares passes can be used. While the drivers will give every assistance they can, the service will not be suitable for wheelchair users who cannot easily get in or out of a car. Where there is particular need, the scheme’s co-ordinator will try to arrange for the most suitable vehicle available.

Community Cars Lune Valley

01524 388499 Booking hours: Mon/Frid 9.00am – 3.00pm. The scheme areas include, Caton, Brookhouse, Claughton, Hornby, Wray, and Melling. The scheme is supported by Lancashire County Council and Lune Valley Transport Enterprise.

Community Cars Tarleton and Hesketh Bank

01772 813424 Booking hours: Mon/Tues/Thur/Frid 1.00pm – 4.00pm. The scheme areas include Tarleton, Hesketh Bank and surrounding areas of West Lancashire. The scheme is supported by Lancashire County Council and Preston Community Transport.

Community Cars Eccleston /Heskin/Mawdesley

01257 453784 Booking hours: Mon 2.00pm – 4.00pm Wed & Frid 10.00am – 12.00pm. The scheme areas include, Eccleston, Heskin, and Mawdesley. The scheme is supported by Lancashire County Council and Central Lancashire Dial A Ride.

Community Cars Parbold

Community Cars Wheelton & Withnell

Community Cars Ribble Valley

Community Cars Over Wyre

Community Cars Rural Fylde
